GuardHouse is situated between Threlkeld and Troutbeck and is just east of Keswick Golf Club.
Guardhouse has got to be one of most scenic villages I have ever seen, it is situated below Blencathra with some amazing views.

This gate style is used all along the Penrith-Keswick line where the line was crossed by farm animals. Note the loops on top of the gate.
