Keswick Golf Club Pictures
Many thanks to Keswick Golf Club for allowing me to take these pictures.
Keswick Golf Club
Keswick CA12 4SX
The Penrith-Keswick Railway splits the golf course roughly in half running east-west and has some amazing back drops.
Main Golf building with shop on right hand side and Blencathra in the background.
Cattle tunnel around mid way through Golf course.
Another tunnel which is large enough for a person to pass through. Blencathra can be seen in the background and to the right Keswick Golf Club buildings.
The trackbed is used as an access footpath/road through the golf course.
Small tunnel with view to fells south of the golf course.
View from the trackbed looking south west.
This is the eastern end of the golf course looking east, Guard House is a few hundred yards from here. The railway used to be double track here.
View from trackbed across golf course.
Over foot bridge. This type of bridge is used in quite a few places along this stretch of line.
There is one at Threlkeld and another just east of Mosedale viaduct.
View of footbridge from trackbed looking east.
Small tunnel with Blencathra in the background.
